Are you a coder that teaches? A teacher that codes? We'd love to talk

Code Rangers is always putting on new workshops at new venues, and we are hunting for superstar tutors and teachers to come work for us. We are looking for people with:

  • maturity
  • a sense of humour and a bit of spark
  • a great "teacher's voice"
  • a good understanding of computational thinking
  • an appetite to work with groups of 8 - 12 year olds (older children coming soon)
  • some experience with visual programming (we use scratch)
  • skills in html/css, or python, or java script, or arduino coding, or other languages you believe can be shared with and taught to 8 - 15 year olds
  • a working with children background check in place (or happy to obtain one)
  • a teaching qualification (this would be just wonderful, but it's not essential)

The roles we're recruiting for:

  • involve running / supporting workshops for primary aged children either before or after school 
  • are paid
  • mean you'll commit for 9 week blocks of workshops and be available for all of them
  • are located around Sydney's lower North Shore and Inner West (more coming soon)
  • come with fully developed course notes and worksheets for the students
  • offer scope for you to also help Code Rangers developing new course materials and generally supporting a fast growing business
